Old advertising materials turned into a bag
Of course, we want to show off the lovely new products we're releasing at wholesalers. However, the production of roll-up banners became a bit of an issue for us from a sustainability perspective...
After all, banners are made of expensive, valuable materials. And they're only up-to-date for a few months. What happens with them after that? In many cases, they end up in the trash.
We wanted to do things differently. We went looking for a partner that could upcycle these old banners for us by turning them into bags. We found one in Amsterdam. We take the banners to them, and they creatively turn them into lovely bags in their own time! Since the workshop employs people that need a little extra support, we agreed not to put a deadline on any of the work. Once the bags are ready, we receive a phone call.
Last December, we had enough bags to give one to each employee of RIGO, filled with Christmas gifts!
