Linseed Stand Oil Paint is on the rise
Linseed Stand Oil Paint is on the rise thanks to its sustainable, ecological aspects and unrivalled technical properties. There is a good reason why we still find centuries-old coats of intact linseed oil paint in monumental buildings. After all, linseed oil paint is a must for monuments. RIGO Verffabriek is therefore announcing TOPLIN linseed stand oil paint We now offer a fully in-house-developed water-based linseed stand oil paint for indoor use.
Innovation and modernisation
Until recently, it was not legally allowed to use linseed oil paint indoors. However, anyone intending to perform any renovation work on a monumental property will cringe at the thought of having to use acrylate dispersions. These modern, synthetic technologies simply don't match authentic substrates.
In order to find a solution for this, RIGO Verffabriek spent the last four years developing a water-based linseed stand oil paint. The laboratory staff investigated natural materials that could assist in the emulsion of water and linseed oil, provided sufficient grease resistance and allowed for easy application. The result is an authentic, water-based linseed oil paint system that fully meets health and safety regulations and offers high-grade technical properties. With linseed oil as a base, this product does justice to monumental substrates. On top of that, it is made of 95% natural materials. TOPLIN Aqua products meet the EU Ecolabel requirements and are the first paint product to be awarded the highest A+ label of the Swiss Umwelt Certificate.
"The universally applicable flax"
"Linum usitatissimum" is the Latin name for flax, and literally means "the universally applicable flax". The flax owes its name to the versatility of this agricultural crop. Another benefit is that linseed oil is virtually entirely used in the condition in which it is harvested. No intense processing is required to turn it into a new, synthetic substance. The flax that yields the linseed does not have any special requirements and does well at our latitude. RIGO Verffabriek cultivates flax on fallow soil in the Haarlemmermeer area, covering a significant part of its own linseed needs.
The queen is dead, long live the queen!
