Painting students of Cibap and Nimeto can enrol in an excellence programme focussed on restoration and decoration". This will allow them to specialise in restoration techniques such as wood imitation, marbling and much more.
A group of ambitious and curious painting students of Nimeto Utrecht and Cibap Zwolle in Zwolle are enrolled in the "Restoration and Decoration" Excellence Programme. As part of this programme, they will learn artisanal restoration techniques, such as marbling and wood imitation. Historical colour research and freehand painting of murals will also be covered.
Our technical paint consultants were recently asked to give a class on painting with TOPLIN and TOPLIN Aqua Linseed Stand Oil Paint. To become a restoration painter, it's important to be familiar with a variety of materials and to know more about old coats of paint you might encounter on the job. An understanding of the way paint is made and the pigments and binding agents you might encounter is another topic covered by these types of workshops.
We love to be able to share some of our knowledge with these young people. The development of a new generation of craftsmen is of crucial importance. And these boys and girls are fully committed to the craft.
