Making paint during the Corona pandemic
How do you create a pleasant environment in these bizarre times? A third of the world has ground to a halt, while another part keeps going. "But how?" That's the big question. Of course, we also took thorough measures to spread the risk as much as possible while ensuring we can continue to work and create pleasant environments...
Luckily, our work still goes on, and with some twists and turns, we are managing to stay positive. Everyone who can work from home is currently doing so. However, making paint simply requires a human touch, so we planned out the production process in such a way that everyone can do their work while staying at least 1.5 metres apart.
We have taken thorough measures for those of our colleagues working at the office, in the warehouse or in the production department. Shipments are processed without direct contact and with respect for the applicable rules. Our field staff is working from home and call, Skype, or "Team" with our customers.
People with the same job are separated, so they don't meet and can't infect one another. That way, we spread the risks.
Unfortunately, visitors are no longer admitted to the factory. However, they are addressed and helped as efficiently as possible.
In our store, the measures are also quite visible. The counters now have transparent screens, and the floor has turned into a true artwork of lines to help customers keep an appropriate distance. If too many people visit the store at once, the doors are shut and customers are asked to wait outside. Of course, it's a shame that having a cup of coffee with our customers is, for now, not possible. But hey, we won't complain! We're happy the sun is shining and we can still help everyone with their projects as much as we can.
