The challenge:
The client wanted to create a stronger link between the hallway and the rest of the residence. They designed a room divider around concrete columns featuring power connections, which houses the meter cupboard, cloakroom, kitchen, coffee corner and a bookcase in a single block.
designing and building a multifunctional room divider. This piece of furniture serves as a cloakroom, meter cupboard, coffee corner, kitchen and bookcase, all in one.
Substrate:
Birch Plywood, new
The solution:
The woodwork consists of birch plywood. The black built-in cabinets are made of powder-coated metal. For the woodwork, the client wanted a resilient finish that had to retain the clear look of the birch plywood in order to form an optimal contrast with the black elements. The decision was made to use ROYL OIL 2k #4560 in the colour C10+10 Double Alaska White.
The result:
The product delivers on its promise: a single coat is sufficient. The colour result and impregnation were just fine. The fronts were fully saturated after the first coat. The short hardening time allowed for a quick lead time of transport and placement.
