Challenge:

This client was looking for parquet flooring with an authentic appearance as the base for a stylish, colourful interior that was fully customised to their preferences.

The sample board of the Meyerick pattern was exactly what they were looking for. It looks a little like Versailles floor, but with a star at the centre. The panels are 46 x 46cm and the floor was luxuriously finished with apron and feature strips + a vertical edge with alternating Carreaux tiles.

Solution and system:

The tropical kambala wood type was selected for this floor. Thanks to the impregnating qualities of ROYL Oil 2K Clear, the wood gained an extra warm glow. By providing the floor with a coat of ROYL Project Maintenance 2K Clear, the floor was given its rich appearance.

The result:

This project became a real gem: A lively, luxurious panelled floor that radiates craftsmanship. Each plank was separately glued, nailed, sanded and finished with oil.

By regularly maintaining the floor finish with ROYL Maintenance Oil, it will become more and more beautiful. No wonder that this floor was sold several times based on the photos alone!
