EKODUR LACQUER 2K INTERIOR is a highly durable lacquer for indoor use. It is easy to apply, has a good potlife, excellent flow and good coverage. This product features highly durable properties, including significantly increased protection against grease compared to the 1-component paints. Highly suitable for surfaces that require extra wear, scratch and impact resistance.

Frequently asked questions
- Do the EKODUR 2K lacquers suffer from discolouration in dark darker spots in the house?

No, all EKODUR 2K lacquers will remain brilliantly white.
- Can you dilute EKODUR 2K, and, if so, what can you use to do so?

Yes, you can dilute EKODUR 2K with water, up to a maximum of 5%.
- Can you use the product in proportion, so half a can/bottle with half hardener, and will the hardener still be good after opening?

Yes, this is possible, and very easy to do on a small kitchen scale with a tare function. Use the mixing ratio as indicated in the Technical Data Sheet. Make sure to shake the entire packaging of the A-component well before taking a part out.
Two tips for resealing the hardener: Squeeze as much air as possible from the pouch and wipe the spout clean. This will extent the shelf life and ensure that you can still unscrew the cap the next time. But please note: the hardener has a limited shelf life after opening.
- What is the difference between EKODUR 1K and EKODUR 2K?

A hardener is added to the EKODUR 2K. This ensures a stronger resistance of the coat.
- What is the potlife of EKODUR 2K?

The potlife after mixing the lacquer and the hardener is 2 to 3 hours.
Note: Even if it still seems liquid, do not use the paint anymore. Don't work up the leftovers either.
- How can I store my brushes when using EKODUR paints?

Always clean the brushes thoroughly first. When using EKODUR paints, the brushes should then be kept in water. The only exception to that rule is the EKODUR Emulsion Lacquer #2710. It is based on a linseed oil emulsion binder, and must be kept in the raw linseed oil.
- What is the best product to clean a brush I used to apply EKODUR?

Brushes can be cleaned with water. The only exception is the EKODUR Emulsion. In this case, it is best to place the brushes in raw linseed oil or to clean them with lukewarm water and green soap.
