FOR THE USER
- SKYLT Recoatable Colour Oil 2K is a 2-component oil available in three base varieties: Clear #5050, White #5051 and Black #5052 can be coloured using separate COLOUR PIGMENTS.
- Applied like ROYL oil: apply and rub dry.
- No drying time required!

- How many hours after the SKYLT Recoatable Colour Oil 2K is rubbed dry can the first coat of lacquer be applied?

After properly rubbing dry, the SkYLT Recoatable Colour Oil 2K can be lacquered immediately. The first coat has to be applied within 48 hours.
In combination with the ROYL Reactive Stain: after applying SKYLT Recoatable Colour Oil, wait at least 24 hours before applying the first coat of varnish.
- Why do I have to apply the first coat of varnish within 48 hours?

Waiting longer than 48 hours reduces the chance for the varnish to adhere well. The longer the waiting time between the oil and the varnish, the greater the chance that the floor will be walked on, damaged and contaminated before the system is finished.
- Does it make a difference whether I overcoat immediately after rubbing the SKYLT Recoatable Colour Oil or after, for example, overnight drying?

Yes, there is a slight color difference in the final result between direct overcoating and overcoating after a drying time. If you were to do this in the same floor area, it would remain visible in the end result. So make sure to do the same all over the floor.
- Small bubbles and bumps are visible between the seams of the floor after the varnish has dried. What should I do now?

Carefully scrape these bumps away, rub the spots dry again and then apply the next layer of lacquer.
- Can you use the product in proportion, so half a can/bottle with half hardener, and will the hardener still be good after opening?

The hardener has a limited shelf life after opening. The hardener reacts to moisture: squeeze the air ouf the pouche well.
- After which layers should I sand when using SKYLT Original #5510 or SKYLT Titanium #5550 in combination with SKYLT Recoatable Colour Oil?

When using SKYLT Recoatable Colour Oil #5050, #5051 or #5052, sanding is necessary after the first layer. The wood fibers will set up less, so that less heavy or no polishing is required.
