TOPLIN Aqua Pre-lacquer
Historical indoor paintwork with linseed oil paint
Until now, as a result of modern laws, it was not possible to use linseed oil paint for indoor projects. Since synthetic paint isn't really an option for monuments, the paint production craftsmen and laboratory masters of RIGO Verffabriek have worked hard for four years to develop a water-based linseed oil paint that meets the legal requirements for indoor use.

It is best to put the brushes in raw linseed oil or clean them with warm water and green soap.

The pre-lacquer is the paint layer that is applied between the primer and the topcoat layer. The pre-lacquer has a higher gloss level than the primer and ensures therefore optimum gloss build-up.

On bare wood, you should apply:
- or 2 layers of TOPLIN Aqua Primer #2010 and 2 layers of TOPLIN Aqua Lacquer,
- or 1 layer of TOPLIN Aqua Primer #2010, 1 layer of TOPLIN Aqua Pre-Lacquer #2020 and 2 layers of TOPLIN Aqua Lacquer.

Ideal system composition
For the ideal system composition and gloss level, you could opt for a pre-lacquer. In that case, you need to first treat the substrate with TOPLIN Aqua Primer followed by a coat of TOPLIN Aqua Pre-Lacquer. You can then apply a lacquer with the desired gloss finish.
