TOPLIN Aqua Satin
Historical indoor paintwork with linseed oil paint
Until now, as a result of modern laws, it was not possible to use linseed oil paint for indoor projects. Since synthetic paint isn't really an option for monuments, the paint production craftsmen and laboratory masters of RIGO Verffabriek have worked hard for four years to develop a water-based linseed oil paint that meets the legal requirements for indoor use.

- What is the best way to clean a brush that has been used for applying TOPLIN Aqua paints?

It is best to put the brushes in raw linseed oil or clean them with warm water and green soap.
- Do the TOPLIN Aqua topcoats yellow?

Yes, this is because these paints are emulsion topcoats, made from linseed oil in water. Linseed oil yellows and this is a natural process. Any emulsion topcoat will yellow, also those based on alkyd emulsion. The yellowing can be noticeable in white and light colours.
- Why do the base white of the TOPLIN Aqua topcoats look off white?

That's because these paints are emulsion topcoats, made from linseed oil in water. The linseed oil makes the white bases look off white, almost RAL 9010 in colour.
- What can you use to dilute TOPLIN products?

Solvent-based TOPLIN products can be diluted with Linotyn or Gum turpentine. TOPLIN Aqua can be diluted with water.
- How can I store my brushes when using TOPLIN Aqua paints?

The brushes should be stored in raw linseed oil when using water-based TOPLIN Aqua paints.
- How many layers of TOPLIN Aqua paint should I apply on bare wood?

On bare wood, you should apply:
- or 2 layers of TOPLIN Aqua Primer #2010 and 2 layers of TOPLIN Aqua Lacquer,
- or 1 layer of TOPLIN Aqua Primer #2010, 1 layer of TOPLIN Aqua Pre-Lacquer #2020 and 2 layers of TOPLIN Aqua Lacquer.
